The last book I read to completion is Eric Jerome Dickey's Resurrecting Midnight. Fantastic!! EJD has done it again.
This is the 4th book in the Gideon series and this one is totally banging. He has all the right elements that promises one hellafied read: sex, violence, weird relationships, grimy underworld references, and exotic locales. This story takes our anti-hero Gideon to Argentina to clear up a debt. He runs into the man he thinks is sperm donor according to his prostitute mother. Not only is this guy dangerous but he is one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse; another hit man squad.
Complications rise when Gideon himself is blackmailed. So on top of that he is fighting for his life, his team and his employers which consists of the woman he loves to hate and the son of one of his former employers.
EJD out does himself with this book because you just don't want to put it down. I finished it after a day and a half of continuous reading and this sucker is 400 pgs plus! Well worth the time spent because you don't want to call any of the characters good guys or bad so you don't know who to root for so you just hope for the best. A bit player is added to the mix as a compatriot to Gideons team and I'm hoping EJD will give him more time in the next outing or create a storyline to showcase his talents.
Overall, two thumbs up.
